Summertime fun!

Summer is flying by. Here is what we have been up to lately....
Lots of swimming!!!!

Daphne now smiles and it is sooooo cute! I just LOVE her dimples!

Holy cow.... I have 3 kids???? Some days they get the best of me but I sure love them all to pieces!

We went to the zoo!!!

I ran out of Daphne's diapers while we were at Trevor's parents house so she had to use Laynie's. I can't believe how many diapers a little baby can go through!

We drove up to Mesa Falls. It sure is pretty!!!

Overall, summer is treating us good!

Fourth of July

We LOVE the Fourth of July!!!! It's such a FUN holiday. Our day is always jam packed with tons of activities.... parade watching, eating, swimming, and fireworks!

The kids love the parade, especially Laynie. She thought it was the COOLEST thing ever. She waved practically the whole time, and waved her flag and signed horse constantly. Daphne slept through the whole thing and Drake was busy trying to get every last tootsie roll thrown his way!

The Petersen pool was up and going just in time for the Fourth! The kids had a blast. Drake hadn't been swimming since lst summer so it took him a while to figure it out again, but he is getting there. Laynie is a big nightmare in the pool. She is wild as can be and has no clue that she has to be so careful in the water. We don't want to hold her back and she loves to do everything Drake does, but it is stressful. Good thing Trevor was in the water with her because it may have given me a heart attack.

This little peanut did what she does best..... sleeping, eating and crying!

We didn't dare brave the crowds with our wild crew, so we drove and parked at a good spot where we could see the fireworks. We had a good view and watched from our car. Drake was the only kid who was awake and about 5 minutes into them he asked if he could go to sleep yet. haha

All 3 kids sleeping at once... that NEVER happens! It was a great day and we were all tuckered out after our fun filled Fourth of July. We love our country!!!!

1 month old

Wow- how did this happen? 1 month already! She has gotten the nick name "grumpy pants" because she likes to scream quite a bit!!!! She must have colic. We tried some acid reflux medicine but that didn't seem to help! She is getting stronger and bigger every day. She loves to be help up-right on your shoulder and can hold up her head pretty good now. A lot of her newborn clothes are starting to get tight! Drake and Laynie both LOVE her so much. They have adjusted sooooooo well! We sure love our little Daphne)

This little babe is so cute just lounging all out!!! She loves to sleep all day and be awake all night! She is barely starting to get it figured out though... *knock on wood*

She is also getting quite strong and can hold her head up!!!

We've had lots of fun playing outside and have spent a lot of time in the water.... It's been so hot lately!

LOVE this girlie!!! She loves to keep me paranoid while she is playing in water. She just wants t do what everyone else is doing and I don't want to hold her back, but oh boy she gives me gray hair!

T-ball

Drake had a great time playing t-ball this year. He played with a bunch of buddies and really loved playing! They were the Warriors and they won all of their games except their last game. He is getting really fast and loved getting people out! It has been lots of fun watching him improve year after year. This was his 3rd year playing!

He loved playing pitcher because the pitcher basically gets every ball. One game he got 7 people out:)

He also made sure to run really fast because he DID NOT want to get out!!!

Way to go Warriors... can't wait for next year!

Visit from family

My dad, step-mom Erin, and brother Matt came to visit a few weeks after Daphne was born. It was so great to see them and Daphne enjoyed sleeping in their arms while they were here! Can't wait to see you guys again!!!!

Father's Day!!!

We had a good but low-key Father's Day this year. Trevor got a great gift with receiving his 3rd little baby just a short time before Father's Day. We are so lucky to have Trevor! He is the BEST daddy- our kids just adore him! Trevor is Drake's hero and he wants to do Everything with him. Laynie loves her daddy and I am amazed all the time at how well Trevor can take care of her. Especially after having Daphne because now Trevor has night duty with Laynie when her nurse isn't here. He never complains and does a fantastic job. And he adores his newest little girl. He has a way of soothing her to sleep! We all love you Trevor!
We also have the very best dads in our lives. We have awesome examples and our kids have such awesome grandpas. We love you Dale, Dan, and Leonard!

In Memory of Grandpa Dan

My Grandpa Dan (my dad's dad) passed away June 2nd. It was just two days before Daphne was born so I like to think she got a special kiss from heaven before she was born! He was a great man and an amazing artist. You will be missed Grandpa! xoxo
