Daphne 9 months

I am really LOVING this stage. 9 months is FUN!!!!! She is happy, active, fun, and cuddly. She definitely loves her mom and dad and has bad stranger danger. She just stares down people and WON'T crack a smile. It is pretty funny, but I'm sure everyone thinks she is the grumpiest baby ever! She can stand up to anything super fast and can cruise. She crawls everywhere and doesn't seem to be interested in walking and I am sooooo happy about that:) I hope she waits till she is 1. She has been teething lately and is very crabby about it. Her top two teeth look like they are going to come through any day. Her sleeping is still horrendously terrible. One night I decide I have had enough and I make her cry herself to sleep and the next I feel terrible and think she is only a baby for a little while so why not enjoy cuddling and holding her. And yes I realize why she is so bad is because what I just barely wrote. haha But it is true, she is already 9 months old. In 3 more months she will be 1 and considered a toddler and not a baby:( that is so sad! I just love my little Daphne and we think she is the cutest baby in town!

Daphne LOVES her big brother. And Drake loves her too. Now that Daphne isn't screaming all the time, Drake actually thinks she is pretty awesome! The other day he said (with teary eyes), "I just don't want Daphne to grow up. I want her to stay a cute baby forever!" Well.... I completely agree Drake. It's just NOT fair that cute babies grow into back talking big kids. haha

It was Drake's 100th day of school. He was supposed to look like a 100 year old man and this is the best we could come up with.

I went to Laynie's Valentine Day party and she was quite excited about having her mom come to her classroom. She kept coming over and hugging me every 2 minutes and then some of her other classmates started following her and pretty sure I was hugging the whole class. haha It was so cute. I also learned that one of her classmates has a very special place in his heart for Laynie. His little brother also has a trach so he really feels for Laynie. Her likes to protect her and when she is getting suctioned he comes over to her and pats her on the back. That just melts my heart!

These boys are such awesome bball players. They won 1st place in their league! I am actually extremely amazed at how well they play. When we first started playing bball in the fall Drake had never really even picked up a basketball before. And I can't believe how much he has improved. I don't think a team even came close to scoring half the points they scored every game. Basketball season is now over, but it was super fun watching and cheering for these boys!

After the last game, they had some skills challenges with all the teams and Drake won in dribble tag!

I just HAD to take a picture and TEASE Trevor for this one....... He was taking care of his Talking Tom!!! haha Drake and him were sitting next to each other both taking care of their cats. He sure is a good daddy to play so much with our kids:) Or maybe that was his excuse... I think he really likes to play with Talking Tom! lol

Daphne is FINALLY starting to eat more table food.

These cousins had a BLAST when we were there for Laynie's cheer competition. Drake had the BEST time. His love for Jaxon is the greatest love there is. It is so cute!!!! We also had an audiology appointment while we were there for Laynie and she didn't test quite as well in the sound booth as she did last time. We changed a few things so hopefully it will help her!
