Trevor participated in The Great Race for Education again this year. It is a fundraiser that the college he works for puts on. My mom's work was their sponsor. He ran with two of his brothers and his old high-school track coach. My mom, me, and some other people at her work were the owners and we had to figure out their clues. They did an awesome job!!! They came in third in the race (out of 30 teams) only because a lady messed up their clues.... Then they won the dodge ball challenge and the paint ball challenge which put them in the finals. The final challenge was tug of war which they got smoked because the other team was much bigger! They did great and donated their winnings back to the college foundation! It was a lot of fun:)
We also participated in the Bike for Kids day!!! It is a bike race/fundraiser that helps buy bike adapters for special needs kids. We thought it was something that we should definitely support!!! We did the family bike ride and then they had lunch and a carnival afterwards. Drake was so excited about the carnival. He played on bouncy toys, played games, got cotton candy, and a dog balloon made. Laynie also loved the cotton candy. She would stick her tongue out and lick it. It was super HOT outside so we didn't stay long, but we are glad we went to support something so great!!!
They even gave us a trophy when we finished. Drake thinks it is soooooo cool:) It was fun to see so many families there with other special needs kids!!!
