Surgery #15

Laynie had a very minor surgery a few weeks ago. She has had a prosthesis in her palate since she was a baby. It looks like a retainer. It was pinned into her palate. She got that removed to prepare for her upcoming palate surgery in July! They remove it to get the skin healthier so the palate surgery will work better!  Her next surgery she will be getting the remainder of her soft palate repaired and her hard palate repaired. This is supposed to be a pretty big surgery and an awful recovery!!! We are not looking forward to it. It is sooooo much harder now that she is older! This prosthesis removal was a piece of cake for her. It was the first time we were able to get it done in Idaho Falls. The separation to bring her back for surgery was incredibly heartbreaking though. She fought it sooooo hard and it was super hard for me too:( She also had some dental work done and everything went great!

She was so excited to get a balloon from grandma!!!
