Drake, your dad is gunna kill me!!

So we thought it would be funny to switch Drake and Ivy's clothes. Apparently, I was the only one who thought it was funny. I text messaged a picture of Drake to Trevor while he was at work and he said he was going to come get him and save him from his mean mom. I have to say, Drake makes a much cuter boy... but I just couldn't resist seeing what he would look like with a cute bow on his bald head!

We just enjoy Drake so much! He is the most precious thing in the world to us. We feel so lucky that we were sent such a sweet spirit! These past 5 months have been the best 5 months of my life and I look forward to many many more!!

Daddy's Home!

For years now I have always said Daddy's home when I hear the garage door open. This is Ernie and Elmer waiting for Trevor to come inside. Ernie and Elmer run around the house, whine, and go find their toys because they get so excited when Trevor comes home. Drake and I are also very excited when he comes home from work!!!

We sold our house!

It's very BITTER SWEET, but yes we did sell our house. When your house sells in this market without even being on the market... then I think it is just MEANT TO BE! One day I called my friend Whitney, and we were just chatting and I asked her what she was doing and she said that she was helping watch her cousin's kids because her mom (who is a realtor) was showing her cousin some houses. I jokingly said, "Oh have her come look at my house!" and then about 30 minutes later they were over at my house............... after looking a couple more times, they ended up loving it and made an offer and we accepted. Trevor and I have been thinking about selling our house because he is graduating next month and we have been SEARCHING for jobs in Idaho Falls with ZERO luck. So we have thought about moving our search to other states, possibly doing an internship, or going to graduate school. So anyways we thought if an opportunity does come up then might as well sell our house just in case. To be honest with you all, we really didn't think our house would sell! We are very sad about leaving our house, our neighborhood, and our ward. We really have loved making new friends here and we have absolutely LOVED living here. We still have about a month and a half until we have to be out. Now what is scary is that we have NO IDEA where we are going to move. We are hoping something will come up in the next month. We truly have been watched over and blessed and we just thought we could not pass up this great opportunity because who knows if we really needed to sell in the near future if we ever would be able to. Now it is time to start a new adventure!!!

This picture is of Ernie and Elmer last summer eating corn on the cob! Corn on the cob is there favorite food!! Ernie will try to steal it from my hands. He has also gotten it out of the garbage before and eaten the whole thing! When I try to take it back he growls at me. We love our dogs so much and they are so much fun!

We went to Utah this weekend with Trevor's mom. She was going down for one of Jordan's friends Mission Homecoming report. We can NEVER pass up a chance to go to our FaVoRiTe restaurant so we went with her. Tepanyaki is the BEST place to eat! I am drooling right now just thinking about it. We also went to another yummy place P.F. Changs! I will be the first in line if Idaho Falls ever gets one of these restaurants.

Happy Birthday Breanne

Happy Birthday to my sister Breanne!!! She turned 25 yesterday! When we were younger we were BEST friends. We would do some pretty cool stuff together.... we would take out the glass in our coffee table, put our swim suits on and dive through the coffee table pretending to be dolphins...... we would through pennies in the air pretending to be Scrooge Mcduck...... we shared a room and when we would get mad at each other we would put duck tape down the center of the room dividing the room into "yours" and "mine"...... on car rides we would look out the window and pick boyfriends for eachother (usually the ugliest person we could find)...... and we would make up gymnastics routines and perform them for ANYONE who would watch! We had some pretty good times. We are still friends but sadly we aren't as close anymore. Hopefully someday we can get back into our old ways!!! Love you Eliza Thornberry!!! Hope it was a great day!

1. I am scared of everything. I am scared of the dark, the basement, being home alone, etc... It is quite extreme!!!

2. I really love doing crafty things. I am pretty creative, but some times I struggle thinking of what craft to do.

3. I don't like to work. I have always been a great employee but I really just don't enjoy working. Right now I have my dream job... Staying home with Drake. Don't get me wrong because I do plenty of work at home- I just don't enjoy going to work.

4. I LOVE vacations. If we ever have any extra $$$$$$ then Trevor and I would rather go on a vacation than do anything else. I have been on 4 cruises! They are the best.

5. I like to drink Dr. Pepper. I drink way too much- I am trying to cut back on the caffeine.

6. I am a mamma's girl. I have always been really close to my mom. I usually talk to her 5 times a day!

7. I absolutely hate taking out the garbage. I think this all started because one summer at my Dad's house my chore for the day was to take out the garbage and I pulled the trash through the house all the way outside and garbage leaked everywhere on the way. After that it was my chore for the ENTIRE summer. My family called me "garbage girl." I know it is pretty sad, but it made it so I really hate taking out the trash! That is Trevor's one and only job to do!! He gets mad at me because I will fill the garbage sooooooo full and I will never take it out.

8. I will only eat Mexican fast food. No burgers! Taco Bell is the best!

9. I have an EXTREME phobia of touching raw meat. In fact, the ONLY meat that I cook is chicken because I will gag looking at beef. I still have a hard time touching the chicken. I ususally put the chicken straight into boiling water and boil it for like 5 minutes so it turns white.... then I can touch it. Poor Trevor never gets to eat anything but chicken. My mom feels bad for him and invites us over when she cooks a roast! I will sometimes eat a small amount of beef if I don't look at it too close. You are all probably thinking I am absolutely crazy now!

10. My sisters and I were all pregnant together.

11. I love make-up. I have secretly always wanted to be a make-up artist. Anyone who knows me knows that I never leave the house without make-up.

12. I like to dress my dogs up!!

13. I don't EVER take naps. If I do then I usually wake up feeling sick.

14. I am a big fan of my DVR. I record The Bachelor, Grey's Anatomy, Private Practice, Smallville, and American Idol. Yes, I know I am a TV hound.

15. I am nothing like either of my sisters. I have 2 sisters and we are all COMPLETELY different.... but we are all still good friends!

16. I used to be very athletic. I wish I could say I still am. I was a cheerleader, gymnast, played soccer, snowboarded, and water skiied. I still love snowboarding and water skiing. Sadly, I can only do a back-hand-spring now. I still like to play but I am out of shape. I do not like to exercise.

17. I like to doodle on everything.

18. I want 4 kids. 2 boys and 2 girls.

19. I don't like text-messaging.

20. I have always had a fear of tsunamis. Weird, I know (especially since I don't live near an ocean).

21. I have a hard time making new friends. I have a hard time letting people in. I can only open up to a certain point and then I usually block them out. I wish I didn't do this because everyone can always use more friends!! Maybe I am just scared of letting people see how crazy I am!! haha

22. I am usually always happy! I truly enjoy life and feel very blessed! I love laughing and playing!

23. I really enjoy back-rubs. Who doesn't??? They are awesome. Trevor gave me a massage for Valentine's Day and I can't wait to use it!

24. I really want to learn more about photography. I would love to take a class and get a really nice camera!

25. I like summertime so much more than the winter! I think it makes me feel better! It is so much fun to just go for a walk in the summer- I can't wait! I am usually never bored in the summer. If it were summer then I probably wouldn't be wasting my time writing this!!!!

Just some cute pictures....... Drake and Ivy are getting so big. They almost look like twins- When I first got pregnant I wanted to have twins so bad.... all I can say is I'm glad my wish didn't come true!!! haha

New Things!!

Drake is 4 months old today. It seems like he is growing so fast! He has been doing many new things lately........




Drake has been laughing for awhile now. Here is a little peek at how cute his little giggles are!

He has been jumping in his Johny-Jump-Up

He has been eating rice cereal for a couple of days now. He is more interested in the spoon than the cereal though. After putting many, many, many spoonfulls in his mouth, I think he probably only swallowed one. Is this normal??? I know some babies eat cereal from a bottle but Drake pretends he doesn't know how to suck a bottle :) Silly boy!

He also likes to sit in his new high chair!

Uncle David and David Jr.

It was my Uncle David's 55th birthday yesterday and we had a little party for him. David is the most special person I know and that is why we named Drake after him (Drake David). I was holding Drake and I asked David what his name was and he said "David Jr." I thought it was so cute because no one has ever called him "David Jr." before. My Uncle David is so awesome. He is ALWAYS happy.... He is a better bowler than me, we always color together, and he LOVES the Utah Jazz (especially the cheerleaders!!) Happy Birthday David- We love you and feel lucky to have you as an uncle!

Bows

Trevor and I babysat our 3 little nieces last weekend. We made bows together. They turned out super cute! I absolutely LOVE having a boy..... but I really wish he could wear cute bows in his hair!

You can do all sorts of awesome stuff to your pictures. Here are some pictures that I was playing around with. Now all I need is a new camera and I'll be set! Drake met his Grandpa Dan, Grandma Erin, and Uncle Matthew this weekend. We had lots of fun! We ate, went swimming, went up to Victor, had family pictures, played games, and visited each other. It was a great weekend!

I know I am soooo weird, but I was going through Drake's hat drawer and I started trying them all on him.... For some reason I thought it was so funny- so I started taking pictures of him in a bunch of hats. He liked modeling them for me... what can I say, he's a natural!!!! (watch out Fabio! hahaha)

2008-2009!!!

Things that happened in 2008...

• Got preggo
• Sold our spec house in Victor (it was a miracle)
• Celebrated our 3 year Anniversary
• Had tons of backyard BBQ's with family
• Watered the lawn 24/7 since we have NO sprinkler system
• Enjoyed elephant ankles all summer!!!
• Went to California
• Had the most beautiful baby boy ever (Drake David Petersen)
• Quit work :)
• Got a new neice and a new nephew (Ivy and Maddox)
• Had lots of fun with family and friends

.........Overall we had a FANTASTIC 2008

Things I hope for in 2009...

• Trevor graduating and finding a new job (only 1 1/2 more classes to go)
• Getting back to my pre-pregnant weight
• Hanging out with Drake every day and watching him learn new things
• Going on vacation
• Cooking more
• The economy turning around
• And to have lots and lots of fun!!
